Barbecue bean casserole
Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 1 c
- chopped onion - 2 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- chili powder - 1/2 tsp
- can pork and beans - 1 item
- mustard - 2 Tbsp
- can tomato soup - 1 item
- small can tomato paste - 1 item
- can kidney beans, drained - 1 item
- can green beans, drained - 1 item
- pork sausage - 1 lb
- to 5 strips bacon - 4 item
- can waxed beans, drained - 1 item
How to make barbecue bean casserole:
Fry sausage with celery and onion; drain off fat. Add all beans to sausage mixture; stir well. Add remaining ingredients except bacon and mix well. Put in 3-quart casserole dish; top with bacon and bake, uncovered, 1 to 1 1/2 hours in 350° oven.(The ingredients can be put in a crock-pot and cooked on low for 3 1/2 to 4 hours.)
