Bananas flambe
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- margarine - 1/4 c
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- bananas - 4 item
- brandy or rum - 1/3 c
How to make bananas flambe:
Cut bananas in half lengthwise. Toss in lemon juice. Set aside. Combine sugar and margarine in a large skillet. Cook over low heat 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until sugar melts. Add bananas. Stir gently and cook 1 to 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Remove from heat. Pour brandy over banana mixture and ignite. Let flames die down and serve immediately.
