Banana nut cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- soda - 2 tsp
- buttermilk - 8 Tbsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- all-purpose flour
- mashed bananas - 2 c
- pecans, chopped - 2 c
How to make banana nut cake:
Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs to mixture. Mix soda and flour. Mash bananas and add alternately with flour to batter. Add nuts and vanilla.Pour into tube pan and bake at 325° for about an hour or until cake springs back when pressed with fingers.
