Banana nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- shortening - 1 c
- pecans, chopped - 1 c
- small ripe bananas, mashed - 6 item
- self-rising flour if plain flour is used, add 2 tsp
How to make banana nut bread:
Cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Add mashed bananas and nuts. Add flour and milk and beat well. Grease and flour pans. Bake in preheated oven at 325° for about 1 hour and 30 minutes if you use a tube pan and about 1 hour and 10 minutes if you use 2 large loaf pans.
