- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 4 Tbsp
- ripe bananas - 3 item
How to make banana nut bread:
Cream together butter and sugar. Add bananas and buttermilk. Dissolve soda in butter; mix well. Beat in eggs. Stir in flour and salt. Mix well; fold in pecans. Bake at 350° in 1 large or 2 small greased and floured pans, about 45 minutes. Bread is done when lightly browned or a cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from oven; let stand 5 minutes; run knife around loaf to loosen it from pan; lift out. Cool on wire rack.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Yeast breads.
