Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- shortening - 3/4 c
- sifted flour - 2 c
- medium-sized bananas - 4 item
How to make banana nut bread:
Cream together sugar and shortening. Add eggs, flour, soda and salt, mixing well after each addition. Fold in bananas and nuts. Pour into pan sprayed with Pam. Bake in 325° to 350° oven until pick inserted in middle comes out clean.Hint: I freeze bananas, then thaw and mash before adding to mix. Makes bread more moist.
