Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- shortening - 1/3 c
- unsifted all-purpose flour
- about milk - 3/4 c
How to make baking powder biscuits:
Mix flour with baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening. Add milk; stir with fork until soft dough is formed. Place dough on lightly floured board and knead 20 times. Pat or roll lightly until dough is 1/2-inch thick. Cut with floured 2-inch biscuit cutter. Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 450° for 10 to 12 minutes.
