Ingredients/Components

  • chopped celery - 2 c
  • chopped green pepper - 1 item
  • ground beef - 2 lb
  • cans tomato soup - 3 item
  • large jar sliced mushrooms - 1 item
  • spaghetti, cooked - 1 lb
  • large jar prepared spaghetti sauce - 1 item
  • Cracker Barrel cheese, sliced mellow Cheddar - 2 pkg

How to make baked spaghetti:

Cook spaghetti and drain. Brown ground beef and drain grease. Brown green pepper, celery, mushrooms and season with salt and pepper. Mix in large pot, tomato soup and spaghetti sauce. Add drained, browned beef and vegetable mixture. Heat until hot and well mixed.

In greased 9 x 13-inch pan, layer spaghetti, meat sauce and slices of cheese, saving some cheese slices for the top. Bake at 350° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Cover for first half of baking time, then uncover. Serve with Parmesan cheese.

To make ahead: Bake, covered, at 300° for 1 hour, then refrigerate. Reheat by baking at 300° for 30 to 45 minutes, covered.
