Baked spaghetti
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- grated Parmesan cheese
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- clove garlic - 1 item
- cans tomato sauce - 2 oz
- lean ground beef - 1 lb
- thin spaghetti - 1 pkg
- oregano, crushed - 1/2 tsp
- can chopped broiled mushrooms optional - 1 oz
- to 6 slices Mozzarella cheese - 4 item
How to make baked spaghetti:
Cook spaghetti in boiling water according to directions on package; drain. Meanwhile, in heavy skillet cook ground beef until it loses its red color, break into small pieces. Add onions and garlic. Cook until onion is soft, remove any excess fat. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and oregano. Stir in mushrooms to spaghetti sauce. Combine sauce and spaghetti pouring into 2 quart baking dish. Arrange Mozzarella cheese over the top until covered. Add Parmesan cheese. Bake in preheated oven at 350° until brown and bubbling for 1 hour.Recipe categories: Pasta, Main dish, Spaghetti.
