Baked macaroni and cheese
Ingredients/Components
- milk
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- 8 oz - 2 c
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- paprika - 1 item
- bread crumbs - 1/4 c
How to make baked macaroni and cheese:
In saucepan melt butter; remove from heat and blend in flour, salt and mustard. Add milk; heat, stirring constantly until sauce thickens a little and is smooth. Add 1 1/2 cups cheese; heat until melted, stirring occasionally.Meanwhile cook macaroni as directed; drain. Combine with sauce in a 2 quart casserole; top with remaining cheese, bread crumbs and paprika. Bake at 375° about 20 to 25 minutes or until nicely brown and bubbly.
