Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • beaten eggs - 2 item
  • pepper - 1 tsp
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 3/4 c
  • chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • parsley flakes - 1 tsp
  • ground beef
  • basil - 1 tsp
  • shredded Mozzarella cheese - 6 oz
  • lasagna noodles - 10 oz
  • chopped green peppers - 1/4 c
  • garlic - 1 tsp
  • cans stewed tomatoes - 2 oz
  • sausage - 1/2 lb
  • Add remaining ingredients in meat mixture except for lasagna noodles

How to make baked lasagna:

Meat Mixture:1 lb. ground beef1/2 lb. sausage2 (16 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes1/4 c. chopped green peppers1/4 c. chopped onion1 tsp. basil1 tsp. parsley flakes1 tsp. garlic1 tsp. pepper1 tsp. salt Brown meat slowly; spoon off excess fat. Add remaining ingredients in meat mixture except for lasagna noodles. Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook noodles in boiling salted water until tender. Drain well and rinse in cold water.Cheese Mixture:3 c. Ricotta cheese2 beaten eggs1/2 tsp. pepper2 tsp. salt6 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese3/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese Combine ingredients of Cheese Mixture. Place small amount of meat mixture on bottom of pan, 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Put a layer of noodles on top of Meat Mixture. Put 1/2 of Meat Mixture on noodles. Now a layer of noodles, then 3/4 of the Cheese Mixture, then a layer of noodles, now the remaining meat. With remaining cheese make 6 small dots on top of Meat Mixture. Bake at 325° for 60 minutes. Let stand 10 to 15 minutes. Cut into squares. Serves 12.
