Ingredients/Components
- dark brown sugar - 1 c
- margarine - 1 Tbsp
- ground beef - 1 lb
- barbecue sauce - 1/2 c
- small onion - 1 item
- medium green bell pepper - 1 item
How to make baked beans:
Put 1 tablespoon of margarine in a black skillet. Allow this to melt; add 1 chopped small white onion and 1 medium green bell pepper. Saute these and set aside. Brown 1 pound of ground beef, stirring it to separate as it cooks. Drain the oil from the meat and then add this to the onion and pepper. Add 1 large can beans, stir in 1 packed cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup barbecue sauce. Stir so that the sugar and sauce is mixed into the beans and meat. Turn heat to low and let the ingredients simmer for about 20 minutes.Fat content: Too much to compute. Eat and enjoy. Diet tomorrow.
