Baked acorn squash
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 item
- butter - 1 item
- nutmeg - 1 item
- honey - 1 item
- medium size squash - 1 item
How to make baked acorn squash:
Preheat oven to 350°. Pierce squash a few times and cook in microwave for 5 minutes on High (or until squash is slightly softened). Remove and let cool until you can handle without burning hands. Cut squash lengthwise in half and scrape out seeds. Put 2 to 3 pats butter on each piece; drizzle well with honey and sprinkle with a little cinnamon and nutmeg. Place both halves in shallow baking dish, skin side down. Bake in 350° oven for 30 minutes. Serves 2.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low sodium, Vegetables.
