Ingredients/Components

• vanilla - 1/2 tsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• chopped nuts - 1/2 c
• flour - 2 c
• brown sugar - 1 c
• coconut - 1/2 c
• soda - 1 tsp
• egg - 1 item
• shortening - 3/4 c
• cherry juice - 2 Tbsp
• maraschino cherries, chopped - 1/2 c

How to make bachelor buttons:

Mix all ingredients in order given. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Bake in 375° oven for 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
