Ingredients/Components

  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 1/2 c
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • raisins - 1/2 c
  • rolled oats - 1/2 c
  • cloves - 1/8 tsp
  • allspice - 1/8 tsp
  • unsweetened applesauce - 1/2 c
  • artificial sweetener - 1/2 tsp
  • shortening, melted - 1/4 c

How to make applesauce cookies:

Sift together first 7 ingredients. Stir in oats and raisins. Combine remaining ingredients. Blend well and add to dry ingredients. Mix well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 2 dozen cookies.
