sugar - 2 c
cinnamon - 1 tsp
salt - 1/3 tsp
flour
nutmeg - 1 tsp
soda - 2 tsp
boiling water - 1/2 c
egg - 1 item
nuts - 1 c
raisins - 1 c
Crisco - 1/2 c
cloves - 1 tsp
allspice - 1 tsp
unsweetened applesauce
gumdrops spiced - 1 c

How to make gumdrop cake:

Number 1 Mix: Mix egg, shortening, sugar, applesauce, salt and spices.

Number 2 Mix: In bowl mix nuts, gumdrops, raisins and 1/2 cup flour. Add 2 cups flour to first mixture. Stir in nuts, gumdrops and raisins. Last mix soda with boiling water; pour in mixture and mix real good. Bake in a tube pan for 1 hour at 350°.
