Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- flour
- water - 1/2 c
- soda
- baking powder - 1/4 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- raisins - 1 c
- finely chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
- allspice - 1/2 tsp
- ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
- ground cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
- canned applesauce
How to make applesauce cake:
Blend 1/2 minute on low speed, scraping the bowl constantly. Beat 3 minutes on high speed, scraping the bowl occasionally; pour into greased and floured pans. Bake oblong pan (13 x 9 x 2-inch) 60 to 65 minutes, layer cakes 50 to 55 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool.
