  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • cloves - 1/4 tsp
  • applesauce - 1 c
  • raisins if desired - 1 c

How to make applesauce cake:

Mix first 3 ingredients. Add applesauce with baking soda. Mix in remaining ingredients. Bake in 350° oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
