Ingredients/Components
- apple juice - 1/2 c
- sugar - 1/3 c
- oil - 1/4 c
- egg - 1 item
- all-purpose flour
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped apples - 1 c
- chopped walnuts
- packed brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
How to make apple muffins:
Topping:1/3 c. chopped walnuts1 Tbsp. packed brown sugar1/2 tsp. cinnamon Combine apple juice, sugar, oil and egg; blend well. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Add liquid to dry ingredients, stirring just until blended. Fold in apples. Divide batter among 10 (2 3/4-inch) lightly greased muffin cups. Sprinkle with topping. Bake in a 350° oven for 20 minutes or until pick inserted in center comes out clean.Topping: Combine walnuts, brown sugar and cinnamon. Makes 10 muffins.
