Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 2 tsp
- melted butter - 1 c
- allspice - 1/4 tsp
- broken nuts - 1 c
- diced apples - 4 c
- large eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
How to make apple loaf:
In a medium bowl, stir apples, nuts and sugar. Let stand 1 hour, stirring often so mixture will make own juice. In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, soda and spices. Add apple mixture. Stir well. Mix in butter and vanilla. Mix in eggs. Pour into 2 loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
