Apple crisp
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vanilla - 3/4 tsp
- ground cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- butter or melted margarine - 1/2 c
- tart cooking apples, peeled, cored and cut in 1/2-inch lengthwise slices about 4 large - 2 lb
- flour, lightly spooned into the cup - 1 c
- heavy cream, softly whipped - 1 c
How to make apple crisp:
Spread apples in buttered shallow baking dish (about 2-quart capacity). Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon. Mix butter and vanilla and add to flour mixture, tossing with a fork to make a crumbly mixture. Sprinkle evenly over apples. Bake at 400° for 30 to 40 minutes or until brown and apples are tender.
