  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • butter - 1/4 c
  • water - 1 c
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • nuts - 1 c
  • white sugar - 1/2 c
  • chopped apples - 4 c
  • Let stand until sugar dissolves

How to make apple cake:

Mix sugar with apples. Let stand until sugar dissolves. Add eggs and beat well. Sift dry ingredients together. Stir into apple mixture. Bake at 375° for 40 minutes. While cake bakes, make sauce. Pour over cake as soon as cake comes from oven.Sauce:1/2 c. brown sugar1/2 c. white sugar2 Tbsp. flour1 c. water1/4 c. butter1 tsp. vanilla Cook sugars, flour and water until clear. Add butter and vanilla and stir until butter melts.
