  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • flour - 3 c
  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • soda
  • cloves - 1/2 tsp
  • salad oil - 1 c
  • eggs, slightly beaten - 3 item
  • diced apples - 3 c

How to make apple cake:

Sift dry ingredients together. Mix eggs, oil and vanilla. Add apples and nuts. Stir until mixed. Pour into greased, floured tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Remove from oven. Place in heavy brown paper bag immediately. Close tightly. Let stand until cool.
