Ingredients/Components
- flour - 5 c
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- shortening - 3/4 c
- buttermilk - 2 c
- yeast - 1 pkg
- warm water - 1/2 c
How to make angel flake biscuits:
Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening. Add buttermilk and yeast (dissolved in warm water). Work dough. Refrigerate until ready to use. Remove amount needed. Roll out and cut. Bake at 450° for 10 to 15 minutes.Note: Dough will keep for several weeks!
