  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 4 Tbsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • buttermilk - 2 c
  • nuts - 1/2 c
  • soft butter
  • brown sugar, packed - 2 c

How to make amish cake:

Topping:6 Tbsp. soft butter4 Tbsp. milk1 c. brown sugar1/2 c. nuts Cream butter and brown sugar. Add buttermilk, soda, flour and vanilla. Mix. Bake at 375° about 30 minutes.

Topping: Mix ingredients and spread over cake. Return to oven and bake until topping bubbles.
