Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 2 c
- flour - 3 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- nuts - 1 c
- raisins - 1 c
- cloves - 1 tsp
- grated coconut - 1 item
- apple, chopped fine - 1 item
- pinch of soda - 1 item
- butter or 1/2 c - 1/2 c
- soda, dissolved with milk
- nutmeg or use 1 Tbsp - 1 tsp
- cocoa, dissolved in 1/2 c - 2 Tbsp
- Add other ingredients and mix well
- orange, grated fine - 1 item
How to make ambrosia cake:
Cream butter and sugar. Add other ingredients and mix well. Bake at 350° for approximately 30 minutes in 3 greased and floured cake pans.Ambrosia Filling:3 c. sugar2 c. milk1/4 c. butter pinch of soda1 tsp. baking powder1 grated coconut1 c. nuts1 c. raisins1 orange, grated fine1 tsp. vanilla Cook first 5 ingredients until forms a soft ball in water. Add the coconut, nuts, raisins, orange and vanilla. Beat until mixture thickens and spread on cake.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Pineapple.
