  • cabbage, cut up - 12 c
  • vinegar - 1 c
  • oil - 1 c
  • celery seed - 1 tsp
  • dry mustard - 1 tsp
  • large onions - 2 item
  • sugar - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • black pepper - 1/4 tsp

How to make 24 hour slaw:

Put cabbage and onions in layers, ending with onions. Combine all other ingredients except oil in saucepan. Bring to boil. Remove from heat and add oil. Pour over cabbage and onions. Refrigerate for 24 hours.
