Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 2 Tbsp
  • self-rising flour
  • warm water - 1 c
  • dry yeast - 1 pkg

How to make yeast rolls:

Dissolve yeast in warm water. In another container, mix flour and sugar. Put 1/2 yeast mixture in flour mixture. Add egg, shortening and rest of yeast mixture. Beat until smooth. Cover. Let rise 30 minutes. Grease muffin tins. Fill the tins half full. Let this rise 30 minutes, covered. Bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
