Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2/3 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- butter or margarine - 2/3 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- margarine - 1 Tbsp
- mashed potatoes - 1 c
- scalded milk - 1 c
- warm potato water - 1/2 c
- RapidRise yeast - 1 pkg
- dash of mace - 1 item
- flour may need to use more
- Add salt, eggs, mashed potatoes, milk and the potato water
- milk enough to make a thin icing - 1 item
How to make yeast doughnuts:
Cream butter and sugar. Add salt, eggs, mashed potatoes, milk and the potato water. Mix well. Measure flour and RapidRise yeast in bowl. Add the flour mixture to first mixture. Knead well. Allow to rise until double in bulk. Roll out dough on flourRecipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Yeast breads.
