  • sugar - 3 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • shortening - 3 Tbsp
  • warm water
  • yeast - 1 pkg

How to make yeast biscuits:

Dissolve yeast in warm water and add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Roll out on floured board 1/4-inch thick. Cut and dip in melted butter. Let rise one hour. Bake at 400° until brown.
