Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- soda - 1/4 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 pt
- baking powder - 1/4 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 4 c
- yeast - 2 pkg
How to make yeast biscuits:
Mix all dry ingredients except yeast and sugar together. Mix sugar and yeast in small bowl; set aside. Heat buttermilk in small pot until warm; add yeast, sugar, and oil. Mix well and add to dry ingredients. Knead well. Make into biscuits and let rise. Bake at 350° until golden brown.Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, Yeast breads.
