Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- confectioners sugar - 2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- hot water - 1/2 c
- Filling:2 egg whites
- sour milk milk with 1 tsp - 1/2 c
How to make whoopie pies:
Filling:2 egg whites2 c. confectioners sugar1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. shortening Cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with sour milk and water. Drop by spoonful on cookie sheet. Preheat oven to 350° and cook for 8 minutes.Filling: Beat egg whites and shortening. Add sugar gradually. Add vanilla. Put filling between two cookies until all gone.
