White chili
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1 item
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- cloves garlic - 4 item
- olive oil - 1 Tbsp
- ground cumin - 2 tsp
- dried oregano
- cayenne pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chicken stock - 6 c
- medium onions, chopped - 2 item
- Monterey Jack cheese - 3 c
- cans chopped green chilies - 2 oz
- chopped cooked chicken - 3 c
- cans Northern white beans, drained - 4 item
How to make white chili:
Cook chicken in 6 cups water (I usually add 2 chicken bouillon cubes for more flavor). Cool and debone. Cook onion in olive oil until tender. Add garlic, green chilies, cumin, oregano and cayenne pepper and saute. Mix the mixture with beans, chicken stock, chopped chicken and Monterey Jack cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste.
