Warm fruit compote
Ingredients/Components
- cornstarch - 1 tsp
- powdered sugar - 3/4 c
- margarine - 1/4 c
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- maraschino cherries - 10 item
- orange juice - 1/3 c
- can mandarin oranges, drained - 11 oz
- orange rind - 2 tsp
- can pineapple chunks, drained - 13 oz
- peach slices, drained - 1 c
- pear slices, drained - 1 c
How to make warm fruit compote:
In chafing dish or large saucepan, combine margarine, sugar, cornstarch, orange rind, orange juice and lemon juice. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened. Stir in fruit. Simmer just until fruit is warm. Serve warm.Recipe categories: Desserts, Fruit, Breakfast.
