Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • butter, melted - 1/3 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
  • onion salt - 1/4 tsp
  • oregano - 2 tsp
  • cans tomato sauce - 2 oz
  • eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
  • slices Mozzarella cheese - 8 item
  • crushed cornflakes or crackers - 1 c
  • veal cutlet or tenderized steak, cut in 8 pieces - 2 lb

How to make veal parmigiana:

Melt butter in 13 x 9-inch pan. Blend salt, pepper, crumbs and Parmesan cheese. Dip meat in eggs and then in crumbs twice. Place meat in buttered pan. Cook 20 minutes in 400° oven; turn and bake 20 minutes on the other side.

Mix tomato sauce, oregano, onion salt and sugar, then heat. Pour sauce over meat and top each piece of meat with Mozzarella cheese. Return to oven until cheese melts.
