Vanilla ice cream
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 5 item
- c sugar - 2 item
- c milk - 2 item
- 12 oz can evaporated milk - 1 item
- pt half and half - 1 item
- 1-2 tbsp vanilla flavoring
- enough milk to fill ice cream container - 1 item
How to make vanilla ice cream:
Beat eggs till frothy. Add sugar and beat well. Continue beating, add 2 c milk. Heat on low, just till hot. Stir constantly. Pour egg mixture in freezer can. Cool in refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours. When ready to freeze, add evaporated milk, half and half, and vanilla. Stir; fill freezer can to fill line with milk. Put lid on freezer can and freeze according to manufacturers directions.
