Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- nuts - 1 c
- can Eagle Brand milk - 1 item
- German chocolate cake mix - 1 pkg
How to make turtle cake:
Mix cake mix as directed except omit 1/4 cup of water and add 1/2 cup Eagle Brand milk to mix. Pour 1/2 the batter in 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes. Take out of oven and have ready the caramel mixture. Melt caramels in 1/2 can Eagle Brand milk. Pour over first 1/2 of cake in pan, sprinkle nuts and chocolate chips over the caramel mixture. Add remaining batter. Bake until done. You may ice cake with chocolate icing. This is a very rich cake.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Southern u.s..
