Tortilla soup
Ingredients/Components
- medium onions, chopped - 2 item
- cloves garlic, minced - 7 item
- oil
- cans chicken broth - 5 item
- picante sauce - 6 Tbsp
- cumin - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- lemon pepper - 1/2 tsp
- white pepper - 2 tsp
- tomatillo sauce - 2 tsp
- cans black beans - 2 item
- can corn - 1 item
- corn tortillas - 1 item
- Add remaining ingredients except corn tortillas
- grated cheese - 1 item
- chopped green onions - 1 item
- sliced avocados - 1 item
- chicken breast, sliced into thin strips - 1 item
How to make tortilla soup:
Saute onions and garlic in oil until tender. Add remaining ingredients except corn tortillas. Simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour.Cut tortillas into strips and fry in hot oil until crisp. Drain and sprinkle with seasoned salt and cayenne.
To serve, put chips in a bowl with condiments of choice and ladle soup on top.Condiments: sour cream grated cheese chopped green onions sliced avocados chicken breast, sliced into thin strips
