Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- butter - 1/2 lb
- water - 4 tsp
- chocolate chips - 12 oz
How to make toffee:
Melt butter over medium heat in a heavy saucepan. Add sugar and water. Stir until well-combined. Increase heat slightly and bring to a boil. Stir constantly until mixture turns caramel-colored (8 to 10 minutes).Pour into 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch jelly roll pan. When toffee is firm, but still hot, sprinkle chips over top. Spread until covered and smooth. Cool completely in refrigerator. Chocolate must be firm. Break into pieces.
