- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 4 6
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1 c
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- sticks butter - 2 item
- cake flour - 2 c
- walnuts - 1 c
- stick butter or margarine - 1 item
- Frosting:1 box confectioners sugar
How to make texas sheet cake:
Frosting:1 box confectioners sugar1 stick butter or margarine4 Tbsp. cocoa4 to 6 Tbsp. milk1 c. walnuts1 tsp. vanilla In large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt and baking soda with sour cream and eggs. Bring water, cocoa and butter to a boil; stir well and add to flour mixture. Mix together and pour into a greased jelly roll pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Mix sugar, vanilla and nuts in large bowl. Bring milk, butter and cocoa to boil; mix well and add to sugar mixture. Spread on warm cake.
Easy, because you can use the same pan for cake and frosting. A great dessert for a crowd as you can cut small slices.
