Ingredients/Components
- graham cracker crumbs - 3 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- confectioners sugar - 2 c
- large container Cool Whip - 1 item
- 1/2 sticks melted butter - 1 item
- can crushed pineapple, well drained - 1 oz
- maraschino cherries optional - 1 item
- to 7 bananas - 6 item
- Filling:2 sticks margarine
- chopped nuts, sliced - 1 item
How to make banana split cake:
Filling:2 sticks margarine2 c. confectioners sugar2 eggs6 to 7 bananas1 tsp. vanilla1 large container Cool Whip1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, well drained chopped nuts, sliced maraschino cherries (optional) Press crust against sides and bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan. Place softened margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla in mixing bowl. Beat 20 minutes. Spread on crust. Slice bananas, dip in lemon juice and arrange on batter. Spread well-drained pineapple atop bananas. Spread Cool Whip over pineapple. Sprinkle with nuts and cherries, if desired. For best results, chill several hours.
