Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- chopped green onion - 1 c
- large bay leaf - 1 item
- sharp Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- creamed cottage cheese - 1 c
- cooked white rice - 4 c
- canned green chiles, chopped - 4 oz
- parsley and paprika when served - 1 item
How to make texas rice:
Preheat oven to 375°. Lightly grease 2-quart dish. Saute onion in butter. Add other ingredients. Bake, uncovered, for 25 minutes.Recipe categories: Vegetarian, Pasta, rice and grains, Rice.
