  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 3/4 tsp
  • granulated sugar - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • brown sugar
  • evaporated milk - 1/2 c
  • water - 1/4 c
  • pecan halves

How to make texas pecan pie:

Combine the first 5 ingredients in a small bowl; mix well. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add evaporated milk; mix well. Stir in pecan halves and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into an unbaked 9-inch pie shell. Bake in preheated 400° oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350°. Bake additional 35 to 40 minutes, or until filling is puffed in center or is well browned. Cool before serving.
