Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 3/4 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- brown sugar
- evaporated milk - 1/2 c
- water - 1/4 c
- pecan halves
How to make texas pecan pie:
Combine the first 5 ingredients in a small bowl; mix well. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add evaporated milk; mix well. Stir in pecan halves and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into an unbaked 9-inch pie shell. Bake in preheated 400° oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350°. Bake additional 35 to 40 minutes, or until filling is puffed in center or is well browned.
