Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- cocoa - 1/4 c
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- powdered sugar
- margarine - 1/2 c
- shortening Crisco - 1/2 c
- strong brewed coffee - 1 c
- Frosting:1 stick margarine
How to make texas brownies:
Frosting:1 stick margarine2 Tbsp. cocoa3 1/2 c. powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla In large bowl, combine flour and sugar. In heavy saucepan, combine margarine, shortening, coffee and cocoa. Stir and heat to boiling. Pour boiling mixture over flour and sugar. Add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into greased jelly roll pan. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.Frosting: In saucepan, combine margarine, cocoa and milk. Heat to boiling. Mix in powdered sugar and vanilla. Spread over warm brownies.
