Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/4 c
- stick margarine - 1/2 item
- cocoa - 1/4 c
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- margarine
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- strong coffee - 1 c
How to make texas brownies:
Frosting:1/2 c. margarine2 Tbsp. cocoa1/4 c. milk1 box powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla In large bowl, combine the flour and sugar. In heavy saucepan, combine margarine, shortening, coffee or water and cocoa; stir and heat to boiling. Pour mixture over flour and sugar in bowl. Add buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla; mix well. Pour into buttered 17 1/2 x 11-inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.Frosting: While brownies bake, heat margarine, milk and cocoa to boiling, stirring. Mix in powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth. Pour over brownies as soon as they come out of oven.
