  • sugar
  • cornstarch - 1 item
  • vinegar - 1 c
  • beaten egg - 1 item
  • soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
  • catsup - 6 Tbsp
  • salt optional - 2 tsp
  • chicken - 2 lb
  • water or broth - 1/2 c
  • garlic salt, regular black pepper - 1 item

How to make sweet sour chicken:

Sauce:1 c. sugar6 Tbsp. catsup2 Tbsp. soy sauce1 c. vinegar1/2 c. water or broth2 tsp. salt (optional) Season cut up chicken with garlic salt, salt and pepper; dip in beaten egg and roll in cornstarch. Fry in oil until brown. Place fried chicken in baking dish; pour sauce over it. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Turn chicken after 10 minutes. This can be cooked in crock-pot. Serve with rice.
