Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1 item
  • evaporated milk - 1 c
  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • eggs, beaten - 3 item
  • allspice - 1/2 tsp
  • potatoes - 1 item
  • mashed potatoes - 1 c
  • stick melted butter or margarine - 1/2 item

How to make sweet potato pie:

Boil potatoes and salt. Mix all ingredients. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350°, then bake 40 minutes. This will make 1 pie.

I always add double the amount of spices for a better tasting pie.
