Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • egg whites - 4 item
  • ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • ground nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • skim milk - 1/2 c
  • margarine, melted - 2 Tbsp
  • fresh orange juice - 1/4 c
  • unbaked 9-inch pie shell - 1 item
  • cooked, mashed sweet potatoes - 2 c

How to make sweet potato pie:

Beat egg whites well. Add sugar, orange juice, spices and margarine. Mix well. Add milk and stir. Add mashed sweet potatoes and mix well. Pour into pie shell and bake in preheated 350° oven for about 1 hour or until pie is firm.
