Sweet potato casserole
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans
- packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1/3 c
- stick butter - 1/3 item
- pecan halves - 1 item
- white sugar - 1/2 c
- canned milk - 1/2 c
- cooked mashed yams - 3 c
How to make sweet potato casserole:
Topping:1 c. chopped pecans1 c. packed brown sugar1/3 stick butter1/3 c. flour pecan halves Add sugars, eggs, milk, vanilla and salt; mix well. Stir into yams. Pour into casserole dish (I use a large glass pie dish).Topping: Cream the butter. Add sugar and flour. Stir in chopped pecans. Sprinkle on top of yam mixture. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. (Place pecan halves on top.)
