  • milk - 1/2 c
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • flour - 2 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • soda - 1/4 tsp
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • raisins - 1/2 c
  • cloves - 1/4 tsp
  • mashed sweet potatoes - 1 c
  • cinnamon and nutmeg - 1/2 tsp

How to make sweet potato cake:

Cream butter, sugar and eggs that have been beaten well. Add sweet potatoes; mix well. Sift together remainder of dry ingredients, then add alternately with milk and nuts.
